Warning – this is going to be LONG…. I took my sister camping over the weekend. (see her blog on the right). It was fun. I took the opportunity to go hiking over the same trails I ride my horses on. WOW! No wonder they are all sweaty 🙂 We went to Livermore Del Valle. […] more
A spring ride
March 18, 2009 | Posted by Melinda under Uncategorized |
Last weekend I had a delightful trail ride with family, attended a surprise birthday party for a relative, and planned my riding lesson schedule (with horsemasters, through US Pony Club). It was a lot for one weekend (and a 3 hour drive with the trailer to get there) and it’s just today I have started […] more
A brief interlude
March 17, 2009 | Posted by Melinda under Uncategorized |
I’m in training for work for the next couple of days, so it will be quiet. I had a great weekend. I saw family, got to go trail riding, and planned riding lessons for the year. I got some VVMarchMadness miles in with Minx. I’ll give a report later this week, but I couldn’t resist […] more

Huge bummer. If someone is able to find the info archived somewhere let me know […] more
Poll results – lameness
March 11, 2009 | Posted by Melinda under Uncategorized |
It seems the top 3 lameness’s that people have experienced are tendon related, muscle related, or stone bruised. This is interesting because of those three, I have only had tendon related injuries (specifically superficial digital flexor). I am suprised that no one specifically chose suspensories. During rides, especially sandy ones, I see horses pulled for […] more
VV rides revisited
March 11, 2009 | Posted by Melinda under Uncategorized |
Has anyone visited http://www.endurance.net/ and checked out the very virtual rides? I talked about the VVMarchMadness ride here. If you have recieved your March Endurance News (AERC puplication) check out Flora Hillman’s article. I haven’t gotten as many miles as I would like yet. Specifically I have ridden 11.38 miles this month (doesn’t count arena […] more
