Jan 2016 Link Luv

…and a sorry Link Luv it is.
Gail shared her version of a conditioning log on her blog and it just goes to show there are as many different training logs as there are riders and runners. Check out her post and get inspired.
I plan on doing this in 2016. I’ve been on/ran/rode/hiked about half the hikes mentioned in this article, and I’m looking forward to seeing some new trails this year. The plan is either to run the hike for the designated hike as a training run, or take Fig along and hike it.
And that’s it folks. The extent of this month’s link luv. Between prepping to move into the apartment (happens this weekend), making offers on houses (we are currently at the inspection stage on house #3 which will close mid February if everything goes well), finding daycare now that Fig is 3 months old, returning to work 3 full days a week (instead of half days), being sick, the holidays, and making a trek down the valley to visit family…..links didn’t get a lot of luv this month.
I have a LOT of catching up to do!
But what about reading???????
Most of what I read last month was complete and utter crap (looking at you sequel to Maze Runner….) and so the only thing I can offer you that I rated 4/5 stars or above is continuation of series I have already recommended – the Peter Grant series (the audio versions are lovely too!), and the Ancillary Trilogy.
Other News you might be wondering about
- I’ve recovered just fine from my New Year’s adventure
- I might might might be getting some improvement in the sight of my right eye. It’s not normal, but it’s been bothering me less, so either my brain is finally adapting, or the optic nerve has started to repair at least a little. The swelling of my optic nerve has been improving slightly at each recheck (cause of the unilateral optic neuritis still unknown) but so far my sight has remained static. I have another recheck appointment in the upcoming week so we shall see. (Bwhahahaha. See. SEE. I crack myself up).
- I AM going to the convention. I’ll be going to the vet CE portion (Thursday/Friday) and I’m not exactly sure of my lodging or travel arrangements since I can’t bring Fig with me during the day to the conference CE, but I’m not sure if my husband is ready to take her for a solo overnight. Regardless you will see me around during the day Thursday and Friday, and if everything works out how I hope, Fig and I will both be there Saturday just hanging out.
