Local blogger goes riding and…nothing blog-worthy happens!
Blogger Mel didn’t even try to overanalyze each event, instead preferring to enjoy the great outdoors with pony Farley.
Farley could not be reached for comment, but sources close to the duo say that the two enjoyed a lovely time on the trail.
“It was probably a good choice not to brave the saddle in today’s unexpected wind”, said one source. “Just think, if she had been bucked off during the ride she would have suffered a broken bone AND heat exhaustion from chasing after the horse. By choosing to do a three-mile trail lead line, run only heat exhaustion was inevitable”.
Spectators agreed that the heavy denim tights that Mel was reportably wearing, while making her ass looking good enough we can almost drop the “…for having a baby 6 months ago” off all body compliments, were probably not the most ideal for today’s temperatures of 85+ degrees. Some in the audience argued it was the lack of the hat that was the more serious faux pas.
“Seriously. Her face has just stopped peeling from the whole sane-hat episode at Cache Creek and she repeats the same mistake again? I bet she’s the same sort of person that doesn’t put socks on her baby.”
Others gave her kudos for the foresight to wear running shoes to the stable, but some, notably those with mismatching chromosomes, had no comments at all, apparently distracted by the bouncing cleavage of a poor non-sports bra decision.
Unlike the run earlier that morning, Fig was nowhere to be seen, reportedly still at daycare, without socks on.
Ha! I saw this news story. I also heard the rumor that Farley commented “what was she thinking? Hottest day of the year so far. And she expected me to do it while I was starving for carrots. I might need an owner upgrade.”
Was it really the hottest day so far? No wonder I felt warm! That makes me feel better.
Love this! It was even toasty on the coast, so it must have been pretty hot for you!
Of course, if it was that hot, who needs socks?
Socks are totally optional. Just ask my 2 year old who wore boots – without socks – around ride camp all weekend. Sigh…
I really don’t see the point of shoes and socks for little infants. they get kicked off anyway, they like to play with their feet. When I feel like really justifying my laziness I tell myself that tactile sensation is important. I’m all about function over fashion!!!!! Altjough I’ve got to admit that some of the baby clothes are dang cute…..
