MerryLegs @ Trainer Day 2

Although I had done some work with a rope around her girth, I had never gotten around to putting a pad on her and actually girthing up. Excited to see her doing new things so quickly.
Amber reports that she loves to learn and is quick to process stuff – which is exactly how she was for me at home. A nice change from the bored, been-there-done-that-when-can-we-eat, attitude of another certain pony…..uhemm FARLEY!
But really, Farley has earned it, and how (not) fun would it be to ride an exact clone? I’m ready for a horse that’s ready to have fun! (but yes, still appreciate my old fogey mare).
Another 1 1/2 weeks before I’m home and get to see ML in person and marvel at all she has learned.
What I posted…
One year ago: Uncovering a huge training mistake, Unshoe sandals
Six years ago: Great post, Back from the vet
Oh and her neck is NOT cresty in real life! I think it has something to do with what her long mane is doing in this pic. LOL
Good girl! Glad its going so well at this early stage with the trainer =)
Delighted to see ML doing so well, though not surprised. Smart Girl! So sorry we won’t see you in Reno,
but understand it would be tough to choose between sunny 60s surrounded by endurance people –
and 2 weeks in the hub of the Central Valley…..Seriously, though, i DO understand it wasn’t a choice.
Go forth and conquer this school/clinic stuff! We’ll be here when you emerge from The Dark Side, and
we’ll be cheering.
You crack me up nikki 🙂
She looks great.. and what a relief to hear she is showing alot of tractability.Already with a mock saddle!! excellent! BTW- she is very adorable
Great to see her doing so well!
Clever girl!
Got an update today that ml now self loads into a trailer like a rock star. I’m so looking forward to taking her out on away from home adventures without having to give the trailering part of it a second thought and to be confident that I can do it solo.
