Evacuated

For those of you that know that I live in Yuba City and have been watching the news, my family and I and most of the animals are in the process of evacuating. Only the bird is staying. This evacuation order literally came out of the blue as if it wasnāt for the danger of the dam failing I do not live in a floodplain even if you consider a 100 year flood (which is why I also donāt have flood insurance). A lot went right for us during this process and Iāll be writing a post about it. In the meantime I think another pot of tea is called for as I go spray paint my phone number on Farley. For those of you that are wondering whether my priorities are still intact, why yes I did grab my Black Canyon shoes and my run bag. Theoretically all I need is to rebuy a bunch of food and Iāll be good to go! I have not shared this plan with the husband yet. Maybe let a night or two of ānationās dam going to kill us allā pass. (I think itās the second largest, and it wouldnāt kill us just destroyed a bunch of stuff so yes Iām exaggerating).
